Home window tinting in Waterford
Why tint your home windows in Waterford?

Cooler rooms
Sun-facing rooms stay comfortable on July afternoons.

Less glare
See the TV and your laptop without closing the blinds.

Less fading
Up to 99% of UV is stopped at the glass, so floors and furniture fade much more slowly.
How it works
How home window tinting works
We come to your home, look at the windows that get the sun and talk through what you want: cooler rooms, less glare, privacy or frosted glass. Then we send you a quote.
On the day, we protect your floors, clean each pane and fit the film on the inside of the glass. The film then cures over the next few weeks.
Different rooms often need different films. A sunroom that gets hot every afternoon suits a heat-control film, a bedroom facing the street may want daytime privacy, and a bathroom or front door suits frosted glass. We help you choose the right film for each room, and you get one quote for the whole house.

Questions
Home window tinting questions
Will window film make my rooms darker?
Not much, if you choose a neutral or ceramic film. They cut heat and glare while keeping the room bright.
Does reflective film give privacy at night?
No. Reflective film works by day, when it is brighter outside. At night, with your lights on, people can see in, so you will still want blinds.
Will it stop my floors and furniture fading?
It slows fading a lot by blocking UV, but no film stops it completely, because visible light fades things too.
Can you frost a bathroom window?
Yes. White Out film gives frosted, private glass that still lets the light in.
How long does it take?
It depends on how many windows and how big they are. We will tell you how long when we quote.
How do I clean the windows afterward?
Give the film a few weeks to cure, then use a soft cloth and a cleaner without ammonia.
Can you tint sliding doors and skylights?
Yes. Patio and sliding doors, skylights and big picture windows are all part of home window tinting. We look at each one and confirm the film and the price with you before anything is fitted.
Which film is best for a sunny living room?
Usually a neutral or ceramic film: both keep out heat and glare and stop most UV, while the room stays bright. If you also want privacy by day, a reflective film is the other choice.
Do you tint home office windows?
Yes. Glare on a screen is one of the most common reasons people tint a home office, and a neutral or ceramic film cuts it without making the room feel dark.
Will film change how my windows look from outside?
Neutral and ceramic films keep a natural look from the street. Reflective film gives the glass a mirror look by day, which is what gives it daytime privacy.
Can film make a bathroom or bedroom window private?
Yes. Frosted White Out film keeps the glass private all day and night and still lets the daylight in, so you can leave the blinds open.
Can you frost the glass in a front door?
Yes. Frosted White Out film on front-door glass keeps the hallway private and still lets the light through.
