How it works
What is ceramic window tint?
Union Ceramic IR starts with the same carbon film as Carbon IR and adds a layer of ceramic particles. Those particles stop infrared light, the part of sunlight you feel as heat, without any metal in the film.
Because the heat is blocked by the ceramic layer and not by darkness, you can pick a light shade that is legal on your front windows and still keep the cabin cool.

If heat is what bothers you, yes. Ceramic IR keeps out up to 87% of infrared heat against up to 75% for Carbon IR. Both block 99.99% of UV.
Does ceramic tint have to be dark to work?
No. The ceramic layer blocks the heat, not the darkness, so a light shade still keeps the car cool.
Will ceramic tint affect my phone or GPS?
No. There is no metal in Union Ceramic IR, so phones, GPS, radio and key fobs work as normal.
What shade of ceramic tint is legal in Wisconsin?
Front side windows need 50% or lighter. Rear side windows and the back window need 35% or lighter. Windshield film can only go above the AS-1 line.
